Responding with practical support
During the monsoon season, severe rainfall caused widespread flooding in Narang, Muridke, leaving many homes partially submerged and families in urgent need of assistance. On Wednesday, 29 July, we received a message through our social media from a member of the community living in Germany, informing us of the devastating conditions in his village and requesting our support. Without delay, Murtaza Saquib, accompanied by Faiq Farooq and Mustafa Saquib, initiated Project Monsoon Relief. In just four days, by Saturday, 1 August, they travelled nearly 50 kilometres to deliver 50 ration bags to affected families. Each ration bag, costing approximately PKR 3,050, contained 15 kg atta, 1 kg ghee, 1 kg sugar, 1 kg lentils, and 50 g tea, ensuring families received essential food supplies during a difficult time. Project Monsoon Relief reflects Khayaban-e-Khwahish’s commitment to responding swiftly to emergencies and standing with communities when they need help the most.
